FYP PROGRESS - WEEK 4

Title: Research and findings

In this week, Madam Azliza registered my name and the title of the project under her supervision on the FYP website. I should be able to check the application status online once the supervisor approved my application. I have now officially under the supervision of Madam Azliza for my FYP. As my supervisor, Madam Azliza will guide me in the project; recommend approaches, techniques and methods appropriate to achieve the project’s objectives.

A successful project needs to have the right steps and approaches for it to be success. I have came out with a flowchart showing the process and steps that I have to take.

FYP PROGRESS - WEEK 3

Title: Project Titles Confirmation

After much thinking and researching, I have decided to take about train system. After meeting with her and discussing, some amendments have to do to the title. Madam Azliza suggested to do more research about train system concept. She also suggest the system must using the microcontroller.

After meeting, Madam Azliza asked me to come out with my own synopsis for the project to be placed on the FYP website.

The  title for the project :

Development of Electric Train System using Microcontroller.

The synopsis of the project :

•      The project aims in designing a Electric Train System using microcontroller

•      The intelligent device which performs the project is a Microcontroller.

•      The gateway system also will implented in this project

•      The MicroC is loaded with intelligent program written using embedded ‘C’ language.

FYP PROGRESS - WEEK 2

Title: Selecting a supervisor

I decided to search for lecturers that are still available to be the supervisor for FYP.  So, I went to find lecturer that available and I meet Madam Azliza Bte Mohamad Arshad which is the one lecturer of Section of the Electronics Engineering.

After a few discussion with her, I'm proceed with a project which is "Development of Electric Train system using Microcontroller". 

Madam Azliza suggested for me to do some research first before confirming to take the title.

FYP PROGRESS - WEEK 1

Title : First FYP Briefing

Activity :

The first week basically is about the briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted in TTL 2 and the attendance of all the student that are taking the FYP 1 was compulsory.

The briefing was conducted by Madam Nulida Bt Ab.Aziz.

• Date      : 5^th Oktober 2016 (Wednesday)
• Time      : 2.00pm – 4.00pm
• Venue    : TTL2

Objective :

• To know the detail about FYP title.
• To determine the requirements needed in FYP.

Content :

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about :

•  Introduction
• Objectives
•  Credits and duration
• Scope of projects
• Title selection
• Project Assessment
• Presentation day
• Submission date of project

Conclusion :

The students were required to carefully select the title of the project. For degree students, the title must reflect the capability and knowledge of a degree student. Students may select the titles that are offered by lecturers (FYP supervisors) or come out with own ideas.
